HANOVER AREA COUNCIL OF CHURCHES PAL DATE: Saturday, September 28th and October 26th
LANCASTER SEMINARY OFFERING: Month of September
Rev. Harvey M. Light Scholarship Fund
We support this scholarship fund each year in memory of our former pastor, the Rev. Harvey M. Light. Seminary students greatly appreciate the funds they receive. By supporting a student, we are helping the next generation of church leaders to become servants of God in spreading the Good News! Envelopes will be on the offering table for your use. The 2023-24 Academic Year scholarship grant was awarded to Amanda Maher of Lancaster, PA in the amount of $465.00.
Amanda’s thank you letter follows:
Dear Friends:
Your support means more to me than words can convey. It is not just a financial contribution; it is an investment in my future and the future of the communities I will be working to serve. I am particularly drawn to the school’s commitment to diversity and equity, something that resonates with my own passion for interfaith relations and diversity dialogue. This scholarship empowers me to pursue my ministry in the non-profit sector, where I can contribute to fostering understanding and collaboration among diverse communities. Your generosity has lightened the financial impact of attending seminary, but has also inspired my commitment to creating positive change. Thanks to your support, I am confident that I will be better equipped to engage in meaningful ministry post-graduation. Once again, thank you for your contribution to my education and future endeavors. Your belief in me fuels my determination to make a lasting impact, and I am sincerely grateful for this opportunity.
